That’s what many people want from Chrome: Faster browser delivers great extras


What I like about Brave is that the browser really thinks about its users. They are annoyed by cookie banners, for example. So Brave found a way to tame the constant queries.

However, the pop-ups are not simply clicked away. Users would then no longer see them, but in this case they would get the full breadth of tracking. Rather, Brave tries to block the banners. It doesn’t always work, but surprisingly often.

You can click on “Content Filtering” under “Security” in the settings and then select “EasyList Cookie List”. With the next version, Brave also wants to actively ask whether you want to block cookie banners or not, then a mouse click is enough.
