The 10 cheapest (and best!) ski resorts in Europe

Skiing: The best slopes for the holiday budget

The travel planning for the ski holidays can quickly overwhelm you, because the selection is large and the prices are usually too. The experts of the discount platform “Savoo” have tried to shed some light on the snow flurry. They have compared the offer, ratings and prices in the most popular ski resorts in Europe to identify the region with the best value for money.

The winner is the “Les Portes du Soleil” ski area on the French-Swiss border. It’s not really cheap, but it has a lot to offer – namely the best value for money for skiers in Europe.

If you only have a small budget, you will find the cheapest ski areas in Germany, Bulgaria or Spain. But here the slopes are short and the ratings are rather meager. The ski pass usually costs less than 25 euros per day.

The study: “Savoo” analyzed the ski resorts based on various criteria, including the cost of a day pass, the total length of the slopes, the number of ski lifts and the ratings. In addition, the prices for a two-course meal and the costs for accommodation were determined in the 20 best-rated ski resorts in France and Austria. The study was conducted in December 2021.
