Sportswear brand SportShoes sifted through thousands of French Spotify playlists to find out what thethe most popular songs by the runners of the Hexagon. Headline analysis revealed that sporti.ve/f.s are, of course, looking for tracks with a fast tempo to tune their pace.

It is unthinkable for most runners (except a few purists) to step on a treadmill or jog on the asphalt without their favorite playlist. More than 60,000 songs in 3,800 playlists including "running" and "jogging" were observed closely to find the artists and favorite songs of the runners.

Several songs in the top 10 have a fast pace and are appreciated for their number of beats per minute (bpm). Besides, did you know that the Song BPM site allows you to know the rhythm of your favorite songs?

In this ranking, some songs have a very fast pace, and others less. Songs like Shape of You by Ed Sheeran and Eye of the Tiger of Survivor are more motivating than quick. On the other side, Blinding Lights by The Weeknd and The Coach (feat. Vincenzo) by Soprano are clearly suited to a intense effort like a sprint.

The data also revealed that David Guetta is the artist people listen to the most while running, appearing in 54% of running playlists. "Titanium" (feat. Sia), "Say My Name" and "Flames" are among his most "streamed" songs.

In terms of artists, the hip-hop is by far the most popular genre, with six hip-hop artists appearing in the top 10. Here is the ranking of the artists of the most listened to running playlists.

Statistics have also shown that the songs of the musical comedies and disney movies were particularly popular with running enthusiasts.
