Romanticism took hold of the 12 noon shots set on Thursday, June 23. One of the candidates asked for the hand of his companion live, in front of a Jean-Luc Reichmann struggling to hide his emotion.
Thursday, June 23 will be an unforgettable day for Valentin and his partner Cindy. While the yellow candidate returned to the birth of his daughter Noelia, present on the set, the discussion deviated on the couple. Jean-Luc Reichmann then asked Valentin if they were marriedor PACS, and the young man responded in favor of the second option: “We got together. For the papers, it’s better”.
Curious, the host of 12 strokes of noon asked a second question that hung on his lips: “Are we going to take the leap?“, he questioned his candidate, alluding to a marriage proposal. The young man nodded.
Nothing stops the curiosity of Jean-Luc Reichmann who wanted to know where their discussion was at on this subject: “We are at today. We could perhaps make it happen today, it would be not bad”said Valentin.
Jean-Luc Reichmann to Valentin: “You shouldn’t do that”
Right after, the young father of the family invited his companion and his daughter to approach the center of the plateau: “We’ve been together for 9 years, we have two beautiful children, a life that suits us, our own way of functioning. I want to prove to you that I want us both to work like this until the end of my days”said the young man, kneeling on the ground. “Cindy, will you marry me“he concluded to the applause of the public and the other candidates.
After calling Jean-Luc Reichmann to the rescue to find out which hand he should put the ring on, Valentin exchanged a kiss with the one who is now his fiancée: “She said yes ! Ladies and gentlemen here is a brave man who has just asked for his beauty in front of the cameras (…) He is extraordinary”exclaimed the iconic host.
While Cindy and little Noelia were returning to their places, after this pretty marriage proposal, Jean-Luc Reichmann, truly moved, could not hide it for long: “You shouldn’t do that Valentin. It’s magnificent. Congratulations”he said before resuming the thread of his show, as well as his spirits.
