Laurent Guimier, information director of France Télévisions, announced in a tweet on Monday morning that the edition of the 8 p.m. television news on the same day will take place live from Ukraine. Anne-Sophie Lapix will present from the city of Lviv reports produced by the 20h journalists present on site for three days.

The 13h of France 2 has got into the habit of relocating each month to a city in France. The 8 p.m. news meanwhile leaves as close as possible to international news. Its Monday evening edition, presented by Anne-Sophie Lapix, will be held live from the city of Lviv, located in western Ukraine. The announcement was made Monday morning on Twitter, shortly before 9 a.m. At 8:48 a.m., France Télévisions news director Laurent Guimier gave some details.

The 20h team on site for three days

In his tweet announcing this exceptional relocation of 8 p.m. from France 2 to a country at war, Laurent Guimier confirms that the presentation will, as usual, be provided by Anne-Sophie Lapix. He also specifies that the newspaper team and the special envoys spent three days there to meet the authorities and the population. It is their reports made on the spot that will be broadcast live.

In his tweet, Laurent Guimier promises, in addition to these reports, the “latest news live from 8 p.m.”.
