A much-awaited week for more than 2 million low-income households. In the coming days, the Christmas bonus will be paid to eligible people. Created in 1998 under the government of Lionel Jospin, this aid is distributed by the CAF and the MSA to RSA beneficiaries, but is also sent by Ple emploi to certain beneficiaries. Payment by Ple emploi on Wednesday, December 13
According to our information, it is once again Ple emploi which will first initiate the payment, from Wednesday December 13. People who receive the specific solidarity allowance (ASS), the specific training solidarity allowance (ASS-F) or the retirement equivalent allowance (AER) are concerned. This is not the case for beneficiaries of the return to work assistance allowance (ARE).
CAF payment on Friday, December 15
It is then CAF and MSA who will transfer the Christmas bonus to RSA beneficiaries on Friday December 15. Its basic amount is 152.45 euros and increases depending on the composition of the household. This year, an exceptional bonus is granted to certain single-parent families who live below the poverty line. In their case, the Christmas bonus will be directly increased when the payment is made on December 15.

A subsequent bonus paid by Ple emploi
On the other hand, certain beneficiaries of the Christmas bonus granted by Ple emploi are also entitled to an exceptional increase. But this will not be accessible automatically. The beneficiaries concerned will receive a notification telling them to contact their advisor in order to obtain a sworn certificate to complete.

Payment of the supplement will take place after submission of this sworn certificate accompanied by the CAF/MSA payment certificate in the event of receipt of family benefits and a copy of the family record book. The Christmas bonus is paid in January for new beneficiaries
Payment of the Christmas bonus in December concerns beneficiaries of one of the eligible social minima who acquired their rights before November. For new December beneficiaries, the Christmas bonus will only be paid to them in January by CAF, MSA or even Ple emploi.
