In 2024, Amazon Prime Video will come up with a new show: 50 German reality stars will compete for their followers in “The 50”.
Everything for the followers: Starting next year, numerous reality stars will compete against each other in various challenges on Amazon Prime Video in the new show “The 50”. The streaming service announced this on August 31st.
Reality stars play for their fans
With “The 50”, Amazon Prime Video is adapting the French show “Les Cinquante” for the German audience. In a total of 14 episodes, 50 of the biggest stars in the German reality industry are to compete with each other in the new reality competition show.
The special feature: It is not the actors who win the jackpot, but one of their followers. It is not yet known who exactly will take part in the new format. In 2024, the episodes will be available exclusively at the Streaming service are shown. An exact broadcast date has not yet been set.
According to the press release, the reality celebrities are “at the invitation of a mysterious game master” in a “spectacular castle” where the participants fight for a jackpot. This will start with 50,000 euros, but can continue to fill up or empty by the end of the show – presumably depending on the performance of the candidates who compete in the challenges every day.
In addition to the numerous challenges, there is also regular discussion material in front of the screen and on the Internet: After the tasks, the winners vote on which losers have to pack their bags.
