The action-adventure game Usual June will play the cards of humor and horror

Finji’s press release plays the card of dream team : “Usual June is made by the FINJI development team, led by creative director Adam Saltsman (Overland, Canabalt) and produced in collaboration with the Sweet Baby Inc narrative team (Alan Wake 2, God of War: Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2) and audio director Adam Hay (Dreams, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture), BAFTA winner“However, you know the adage: the greater the hopes, the greater the disappointment perhaps…

This strange scent of Psychonauts

But we are not at the hour of judgment. For now, Usual June presents itself as an action-adventure game with a strong narrative proportion. We will play June, a teenager capable of talking to ghosts, who finds herself involved in a supernatural conspiracy. This same conspiracy will lead him to reveal the deepest secrets of the American Midwest town serving as the setting for the events. The graphic universe of Usual June refers to the work of Neil Gaimain, Dave McKean and Henry Selick, with these very saturated colors, highlighted by deep shadow areas. The work on animation, which is inspired by frame-by-frame animation, or even stop motion, should also make an impression.

Although the Finji title will not be released until 2025, it is already available for your wishlists on Steam.
