Placed under the status of witnesses assisted by justice, the two passengers of Pierre Palmade, present in his vehicle at the time of the accident, are in police custody. One of them would have offered to take the wheel.

Pierre Palmade’s two passengers, two men aged 33 and 34, are in custody since Wednesday, February 15. The first, arrested in Clichy-la-Garenne (Hauts-de-Seine), is of Moroccan nationality and unknown to the police; he is also in an irregular situation. The second, known for drug trafficking, presented himself to the police station. Both men are believed to have fled after the accidentwhich occurred on February 10, without having rescued the victims. According to BFMTV, their path was traced by surveillance videos : they show them leaving the vehicle to return to Pierre Palmade’s home. The demarcation of their telephones made it possible to find them. Their hearing by the police should shed another light on the brutal accident which seriously injured three people, including a child and a pregnant woman who lost her baby.

According to information from BFMTV, the 33-year-old passenger claimed in police custody that Pierre Palmade had used synthetic drugs about half an hour before they hit the road. He also allegedly took narcotics. The other passenger would then have offered to drive himself, before encountering the refusal of the 54-year-old comedian. The latter, according to BFMTV, says something else: he said he has few memories of the accident, but also having consumed narcotics. According to his testimony, if Pierre Palmade had left him behind the wheel, the vehicle would still have been driven by a person under the influence.
