For the 20th time, presenter and musician Florian Silbereisen (42) invited people to his “Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights” on Saturday evening (December 2nd) on Erste. In addition to German greats such as Barbara Schöneberger (49), Thomas Anders (60), Andrea Berg (57) and Roland Kaiser (71), there was also a person to whom Silbereisen owes special thanks: the French world star Mireille Mathieu (77). felt.

Because Mathieu has always stood by him, almost from the first day of his TV career, as the presenter emotionally explained: “She has been my lucky charm since my first Saturday evening show. When many people didn’t believe in me, she supported me.” As a thank you, Silbereisen not only dug out his accordion, but also performed the Christmas classic “Heidschi Bumbeidschi” in a duet with his lucky charm, the “Sparrow of Avignon”.

There was also a declaration of love after the appearance of pop queen Michelle (51) with her new and much younger partner Eric Philippi (26): “We have faced a lot of headwind for our love in the last six months,” said Michelle. “We wanted to make a statement that it doesn’t matter who you love, what you love, what you are like or what you’re not. But that everything is right and that there is simply no wrong.”

Clothes, candles and the chancellor

Meanwhile, there was a small mishap right at the beginning of the show. For the occasion, Barbara Schöneberger dressed herself in a pompous red dress. But that apparently only lasted a few minutes: “I put the skirt over it because it was torn underneath.” To prove it, the presenter briefly lifted the dress and later preferred to keep her apron on while baking for Christmas.

Designer Guido Maria Kretschmer (58), who read the Christmas story “The Lonely Peak,” almost got fiery. He did this in the contemplative light of a real candle, which he came dangerously close to in the subsequent conversation with Silbereisen. “Be careful, don’t set your suit on fire,” the moderator prevented a second clothing mishap in time.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz (65) hasn’t been walking around with an eye patch for ages, but Andy Borg (63) still received a “special edition” from the Chancellor as a guest gift. As a passionate smoker fan, Silbereisen presented him with the “Olaf with an eye patch” for his collection, which is said to already contain over 200 pieces.
