The Apple Watch can’t: This smartwatch monitors your arteries

With the TicWatch GTH Pro, Mobvoi has presented a special smartwatch that can warn of possible health risks. Artery and heart health is monitored and analyzed via a finger sensor. Despite special health functions, the model is not particularly expensive.

TicWatch GTH Pro: Smartwatch with strong health analysis

Manufacturer Mobvoi has presented its new smartwatch. This is not coming onto the market under the name TicWatch X Arty, but as TicWatch GTH Pro. The smart watch wants above all convince with their health analysis and therefore dispenses with some other functions. A GPS module is apparently not included.

The highlight of the TicWatch GTH Pro is the Artery and heart health monitoring and analysis. This is carried out using two PPG bio sensors. One of the sensors can be found under the watch, while the second has been placed on the side. Health values ​​can be recorded accordingly by placing a finger.

According to the manufacturer, the smartwatch can determine arterial waveforms of the user, i.e. pressure waves based on the strength of your own pulse. Pulse, exercise capacity, stress index and the age of the arteries then flow into an “Arty” value, which is between 0 and 100. The collected values ​​can be compared over a longer period of time. The accompanying smartphone app offers tips for improvement.

Mobvoi already lists the TicWatch GTH Pro in the German online shop, but still gives a price (source: Mobvoi). In the USA, the smartwatch is offered for just under 100 US dollars, which is the case in this country around 100 euros could mean.

Aside from the health functions, many elements of the cheaper TicWatch GTH (without the Pro addition) has been adopted. That means a TFT display with a diagonal of 1.55 inches and a battery with a capacity of 260 mAh. According to Mobvoi, one battery charge is sufficient for ten days.
