Although more and more overtaken by SVoD services with higher means, Syfy is not yet giving up the race for series of space opera
. The chain has just ordered directly in series The Ark, in 12 episodes.
In this show, we are 100 years in the future, and Man had to start sending colonization missions to try to make humanity survive. Within the Ark One mission, which will experience a catastrophic event, its members will have to do everything to survive and achieve their objective.
Leading the series is Dean Devlin (geostorm) and especially Jonathan Glassner. The latter being none other than the co-creator of a certain Stargate SG-1. Production should start in March and we will therefore have to wait to see the first images.
