When they first meet, the 18 applicants for the “Bachelorette” work really hard. But not everyone has their nerves under control.
The anniversary season (Wednesdays, 8:15 p.m., RTL and in advance on RTL +) has it all: The 18 flirtatious single men are not only applying for the favor of the tenth “Bachelorette” Jennifer Saro (27) this year. Indirectly, it is also about the sympathies of her sweet companion with the alias “Keksi”. When the Berliner-by-choice retires to her villa in Phuket, Thailand, after her dates, her one-year-old son and her best friend Melli are waiting for her there. Jennifer is Germany’s first single “Bachelorette”. With her Romeos, Jennifer’s message from “Keksi” should provide an extra adrenaline rush.
Man to order – can RTL deliver?
It starts with an esoteric soul: “Bachelorette” and content creator Jennifer conjures up her near future in the first sentence of the new season: she has “manifested”, i.e. ordered from the universe that she will have a boyfriend in a few weeks: “It will be like this be.” The fact that Jennifer finds her dream partner in the episodes ahead of her is not a question of “if” for her, but of “who”. With other applicants, nerves are more of a rollercoaster ride: Although Thomas (29) from Langenhagen, as a salesperson, is used to making initial contacts, he forgets to tell Jennifer his name. Instead, he ticks off her biographical data in record time. Does he still thaw in the heat of Thailand?
Jesper (24), fashion designer and stylist from Hamburg, has little to do with such nervousness. What does he like about himself? “Everything.” In an outfit he designed himself, he struts down his personal catwalk. The half-Danish presents Jennifer with a “hygge” candle, which should ignite the fire and exude a romantic atmosphere. The other boys from the background give his performance the grade “fresh”.
Jennifer shows particularly positive reactions to the entrées of Adrian (27) from Würselen, Jesaia (27) from Stuttgart and Pedro (31), security technician, owner of washboard abs and chess and Bach fan from Hamburg. The rest of the first rose evening passes in a familiar atmosphere for Jennifer. She decides to reveal her supposedly biggest secret right at the beginning of the season: She tells the eighteen men that there is already a man in her life and that she is a proud mom. The men’s reactions range from temporary shock to recognition of Jennifer’s bravery.
The evening ends with the award of roses: Jennifer’s first rose goes to Gianluca (27), sports and health trainer from Munich, the last to bartender Oguzhan, who has to tremble more than he would like.
