“The Bachelors”:
Final panic after “Love Bombing”

Dream dates are waiting for the “Bachelors” Dennis (l.) and Sebastian (r.).

2 “Bachelors” = 6 dream dates. For the viewer it becomes redundant in the semi-finals of the dome show. Until a candidate refuses.

Bye South Africa, hello Mauritius. In the ninth and penultimate episode of “The Bachelors” (Wednesdays 8:15 p.m., RTL and RTL+), the last individual meetings, technically known as dream dates, go to the island state in the Indian Ocean. Wait, dream dates in the second to last episode? Don’t they always make it to the final? Yes, but with two Bachelors there are six and they need a whole episode of their own.

So without further ado, let’s go on our first dream date. For Lissy, 29, this initially sounds like a nightmare. Dennis, 30, picks her up on a horse. Since a traumatic incident in her childhood, Lissy has been afraid of four-legged friends. But she overcomes herself, what don’t you do for the Bachelor when the cameras are rolling? Then Dennis and Lissy cuddle on the beach. They’re already talking about children, Lissy is indulging in “wifey” fantasies. Then they make out in the shallow water.

For Sebastian, 35, the first dream date is similar. Except that he and Kim, 30, are traveling on a buggy instead of horses. Afterwards there is an intimate conversation and kisses under the waterfall. Images emerge between shampoo advertising and soft porn.

Dennis and Katja “dismantle” the bed – Sebastian has a “crush” on Eva

Dennis and Sebastian invite their first dream date candidates to stay overnight. Of course they both say yes. Falling asleep and waking up together: a dream. Dennis even describes the night with Lissy as a “game changer”. The credits could actually roll at this point. But there are still four dates left.

Second dream date double, similar pictures. Sebastian and Eva, 27, ride bicycles on a rope 15 meters high. Dennis and Katja, 28, abseil down a waterfall. This is where the “most spectacular kiss” of Dennis’ life occurs. But that is not how it remains. After the action, it’s time for “romance” on the beach again. Intimate conversations and touches. Dennis and Katja make plans for a life in his Allgäu homeland.

Then overnight. Pictures like the first two dream dates. Dennis at least refreshes with the quote that he “dismantled the bed” with Katja. Instead, Sebastian talks about having a “crush” on Eva. This is where alarm bells go off for experienced “Bachelor” fans. In the history of the show, a crush has often been the little brother of in love and is rarely enough for the final rose.

Surprise after the third dream date round

Third round of dream dates, redundant pictures. Only this time Sebastian is taking off in a helicopter with Larissa, 30, and Dennis is sailing on a catamaran with Rebecca, 27. Then dinner and pajama party, as usual.

But then finally a surprising turn of events. Larissa’s stomach, which was “crackling” before, is now sounding the alarm. Sebastian showered her with compliments on the night without cameras and even confessed his love for her. That was far too much for “Larissa”. She talks about “love bombing” that drains her of all her energy. And before love bombing Even the health insurance company warns.

Sebastian feels like he’s on “The Bachelorette”

Larissa feels acute fear of commitment bubbling up. She wouldn’t accept a rose right now. Too often in her life she didn’t listen to her gut feeling and her head overruled it to her detriment. Dennis, in turn, advises his bachelor bro Sebastian to “keep his hands off” Larissa after she didn’t react as hoped.

The next day, Sebastian and Larissa speak out. He can’t and doesn’t want to talk her out of her fears, but he promises to always talk honestly about his feelings. And lo and behold, Larissa’s head wins over her stomach once again. She accepts the rose. But first she lets Sebastian fidget, who feels like he’s on “The Bachelorette.”

Larissa already sees herself as the winner with the rose. In the final she competes against Eva. Kim comes away empty-handed and feels a bit “ripped off”.

Dennis doesn’t have a rose for Lissy, even though she surprisingly became the secret favorite in the last two episodes. But their blossoming came too late, says Dennis. Her competitors had gained an advantage that was too big for Lissy. She reacts calmly, which in turn irritates Dennis. Apparently he expected a collapse.
