Hand blenders are versatile kitchen helpers. However, the quality of the hand blenders varies significantly – as does the price. Is an expensive hand blender worth it or are inexpensive devices just as good? The Stiftung Warentest has tried that. In the video you can also see which type of mixer is best suited for what.
Stiftung Warentest has assessed a total of 15 hand blenders (also: hand blenders) in practice according to different criteria. We briefly introduce you to the four most exciting products in the table below. We’ll also go into the test winner in more detail. However, if you would like more detailed information on the individual devices and the test environment, we recommend that you take a look at our extensive hand blender purchase advice. There you will also find general tips and assistance relating to the product category – for example, how important the specification of the performance actually is, what advantages and disadvantages the materials used such as stainless steel and plastic have, and which accessories should not be missing from the hand blender.
The 4 most exciting hand blenders from Stiftung Warentest
In the following table we show you what we consider to be the most exciting hand blenders in the test. Below the table we present the test winner in more detail.
The test winner: Braun Multiquick 5 Vario
The Braun Multiquick 5 Vario is the test winner of the Stiftung Warentest. Overall, the hand blender looks very high quality and shows hardly any wear in the practical test. Overall, the Braun mixer received an overall grade of 1.5 (“very good”). Since the stand mixer has a stainless steel base, pureeing hot meals is also no problem. However, the use of stainless steel elements comes at the expense of weight: At around 800 grams, the Braun Multiquick 5 Vario is not a lightweight.
You can find more information about the product in our large hand blender buying guide.
Braun Multiquick 5 Vario
