DXOMARK considers the Huawei P60 Pro+ to be the best smartphone in photos. Unfortunately, it cannot be recommended a priori, for two reasons.
The DXOMARK rankings follow one another and are similar: last May, specialists ranked the Huawei P60 Pro first in the camera segment, now it has been taken its place by… the Huawei P60 Pro+. He surpasses him by a very small point, obtaining 157 points against 156 for his little brother.
In the eyes of DXOMARK, the Huawei P60 Pro+ particularly excels in two categories: photography and Bokeh, where it obtains the best possible sub-score in both cases.
It is slightly surpassed in the video with a sub-score of 148 compared to 158 for the iPhone 15 Pro, best in this category. On zoom, it is surpassed by the Huawei P60 Pro, which totals 158 against 152 for the P60 Pro+.
Nothing seems to have been neglected

The ultra-wide-angle seems not to have been forgotten since it obtains the best score ever obtained by an ultra-wide-angle camera at DXO. He gets it: “Thanks to a high level of detail, low noise, a reliable autofocus system and a wide dynamic range. » The telephoto lens is not left out with “mid-range results […] excellent, with beautiful textures and low noise, even in low-light images. »
An excellent camera phone, a complicated smartphone to recommend
You will have understood, once again, Huawei shows great qualities in the photo part. This perhaps partly explains the very significant success of the P60 Pro in China. The fact remains that we cannot recommend this smartphone to you.
Already because it was not released in Europe. It must therefore be delivered with a Chinese version of the phone, probably under HarmonyOS, i.e. an OS which is unusable in Europe.
Furthermore, even if Huawei decided to release it in Europe, the Chinese firm is still subject to the American embargo which prevents it from accessing Play Store services. It is therefore impossible to enter your Google account, except through hacking.
