Expensive test winner, inexpensive price tip

Test winner is the Rommelsbacher Raclette Set RC 1600 with the overall rating “good” (grade 1.7). In the test, the device scores “good” in all categories, and even “very good” in the durability and safety categories. The grill is of high quality, has a “parking deck” for the pans and can be individually expanded using various modules. The Rommelsbacher raclette only has a flat grill plate and is quite expensive with a regular price of around 200 euros (see at Media Markt).

Ours is much cheaper Price tip: The Cloer 6435 Raclette is not as durable and can be repaired worse than the test winner, but the device scores in the test with a decent raclette performance, a separate stone plate for the grill plate and a practical crepe recess. Overall, the Cloer Raclette scores “good” (grade 2.3). The price of almost 50 euros (to Amazon) But it is a real challenge and makes the raclette grill a real price-performance tip.

Delicious recipe: How to use the leftovers from raclette meals

If you have something left over after your raclette dinner this year, we have a delicious and simple recipe suggestion:

Place two slices of cheese on each slice of ham, wrap them around a potato and then place them on a baking dish that has been greased with oil. Important: The potatoes should be placed with the seam facing down.

The potatoes are placed on the second rack from below in the preheated oven and are baked at 180 degrees top / bottom heat for 15 to 18 minutes. Circulating air is not advisable with this recipe.

Then serve with a little chives and quark – done!
