Mayim Bialik is no longer working as a “Jeopardy!” host. She probably won’t disappear completely from TV screens…

Mayim Bialik, 48, will not be the host of “Jeopardy!” to return. On Friday, the actress announced in a statement shared on Instagramthat she would no longer be used as host of the quiz show. “As the Christmas break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy news!” she writes. “Sony has informed me that I will no longer host the syndicated version of Jeopardy!.”

She added that she was “incredibly honored” to be nominated for an Emmy for this year’s hosting, “and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Jeopardy! family.” She concluded her post by thanking the “fans, participants, writers, staff and crew” who have supported her on “this incredible journey.”

There should only be one moderator

Bialik took on the role of co-host after the quiz show’s longtime host, Alex Trebek, died at the end of 2020. In 2021, it was announced that Bialik and Ken Jennings, 49, would take turns hosting the show.

On the “Jeopardy!” Instagram page is it[called Now: “We have made the decision to have a host for the syndicated show next season to ensure continuity for our viewers,” and Ken Jennings will be the sole host for “Jeopardy!” be. “We are truly grateful for all of Mayim’s contributions to Jeopardy! and hope to continue working with her on primetime specials.”

New project for Mayim Bialik?

Fans of Bialik can probably look forward to a new project from her soon. A few weeks ago she confirmed the new edition of her 90s series “Blossom”. In an interview with Vanity Fair, she said they wanted to bring back these exciting characters. However, she hopes that the reboot, unlike the original, will not be a sitcom.

The series aired from 1990 to 1995 and lasted five seasons. The title character is the teenage girl Blossom Russo, whose mother has left the family and who now lives alone with her father and two older brothers. After her early success with “Blossom,” Bialik landed the role of Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler in The Big Bang Theory.
