- The 9th season does not mean the end for the series, however, because “The Blacklist” has officially received an extension from NBC.
- However, the upcoming season 10 will take place without agents Alina Park and Agent Aram Mojtabai.
Recently, fans could still be happy because the series about the charismatic Raymond “Red” Reddington was officially extended by a 10th season by the US broadcaster NBC. Now the big season finale of “The Blacklist” Season 9 was aired last Friday and after the episode there was the sad certainty for the viewers that two characters will no longer be part of the new season.
On the one hand, agent Alina Park (Laura Sohn) announced in the episode that she would be retiring due to her pregnancy. On the other hand, agent Aram Mojtabai (Amir Arison) surprisingly said goodbye to his colleagues at the end of the episode.
The technical genius, who has been an integral part of the team for all nine seasons to date, confessed his grave decision at Liz Keen’s grave. Surrounded by his loyal comrades-in-arms, he explained that after careful consideration, he had decided to step down from the job and take some time for himself.
Even if this statement might not mean the final end for the character, actor Amir Arison confirmed in an interview with the US magazine Deadline that he would like to reorient himself first. Nevertheless, fans don’t have to give up hope completely, because the series makers also hope that Arison might return in a guest role in the upcoming season 10.
