The Book by Boba Fett: When does the Disney+ series take place in the “Star Wars” chronology?

“The Book of Boba Fett” has started on Disney+. Starring Temuera Morrison as bounty hunter Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen as assassin Fennec Shand, the series is a spin-off of The Mandalorian. Now fans are wondering when the series will take place and how it will fit into the Star Wars chronology is to be classified.

The series begins chronologically after the finale of “The Mandalorian” season 2 and will thus play parallel to “The Mandalorian” season 3. This means that the action picks up a little more than five, possibly six, years after Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.

Since “The Book of Boba Fett” also features a few flashbacks that finally solve an old “Star Wars” mystery, the series also takes place in a different time. The flashbacks start right after or even during “Return of the Jedi”.
