The Boys (Prime Video): we finally know the release date for season 4

The band of The Boys will be back soon! Take your capes out of the closet, prepare yourself a dose of Compound V, season 4 of the Prime Video series will be broadcast on Amazon’s streaming service from June 13, 2024, with three episodes Episodes available on this date followed by a new episode every week until July 18.

A highly anticipated season

Here is the official synopsis communicated by Prime Video: “In the fourth season, the world is on the brink of collapse. Butcher, who only has a few years left months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his position as leader of the Boys. The rest of the team has had enough of his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they must find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”

The cast of the series is still the same for this new season (Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford…) with the exception of three major additions.

Susan Heyward (Orange is the new black), Valorie Curry (The Tick) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead) will indeed be at the party, and if the character played by the latter remains mysterious, we know that Heyward and Curry respectively play Sister Sage and Firecracker, two new superheroines.

Season 5 already in preparation

As we told you this week, the production of season 5 of The Boys will begin in the spring, this having not yet been made official by Prime Video.

Filming will take place in Toronto, Canada, starting next April, still under the leadership of Eric Kripke as showrunner and executive producer, with Evan Goldberg and Garth Ennis also producing. , the author of the comics on which the series is based.

We of course do not yet know the storyline of this season 5, and we will first have to see the eight episodes of The Boys which will arrive on Prime Video this summer to get an idea of ​​the direction the series will take.

We know, however, that the events of season 4 of The Boys will lead us towards season 2 of its spin-off, Gen V. It therefore seems natural that this then leads us to season 5 of The Boys. In short, the franchise about these diabolical superheroes still has many stories to tell us, especially since another spin-off series, set in Mexico, is also in the pipeline.
