In a few days will come out The Callisto Protocol, a new horror shooter in space by Striking Distance Studiosdirected by Glen Schofield, the father of dead space. Shortly before the summer, the studio unveiled the different editions of the game, mentioning a Season Pass very mysterious. Well, it finally details.
Striking Distance Studios did not make an announcement with much fanfare, but the page Steam of The Callisto Protocol has been updated, disclosing the contents of this Season Passincluded in the Digital Deluxe Edition :
Outer Way Skin Collection : Wear the armor of the Outer Way, an underground insurgency opposing the UJC, as you fight to survive the horrors of Callisto.
Contagion Bundle : Discover the ultimate horror survival experience with a new mode, Contagion. With reduced ammo and less health, custom difficulty, and permadeath – there’s no second chance to escape the prison of Black Iron or the horrors that lurk below the surface of Callisto. The Contagion Pack also includes thirteen new Jacob death animations and the Watchtower Skin Collection.
Riot Bundle : Venture into an as-yet-unknown area of Black Iron Prison and face waves of brutal enemies. Gather credits to upgrade your weapons or forge new ones and survive the onslaught for as long as you can in Riot, an all-new mode. The Riot Bundle also includes twelve new enemy death animations and the Engineer Skin Collection.
Story DLC : Delve deeper into the terrifying secrets of the Callisto Protocol.
Quickly, fans expressed their displeasure at seeing additional death animations in DLCsaccusing Striking Distance Studios to remove content from the main game to sell it separately. But Glen Schofield calmed the players by explaining that nothing has been removed from the game, his team has not even started developing this additional content yet. This is a desire to meet the expectations of fans, who want more bloody animations, and the studio will start designing these animations only at the beginning of next year.
The Callisto Protocol release date is set for December 2, 2022 on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, you can pre-order it for €49.99 on Amazon.
