Linda Hamilton is the next actress to join the cast of ‘Stranger Things’ for the fifth and final season of the popular Netflix series. Here’s everything we know.
On the occasion of the Tudum event in Brazil, Netflix not only unveiled a trailer for One Piece, but also a new cast member of its famous Stranger Things series. It is 66-year-old Terminator star Linda Hamilton, who will appear in season 5 of the Netflix series.
His arrival in the casting was announced by Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. ” I am very happy to announce that my old friend, a fantastic actress, badass, joins the Netflix family in one of my favorite series he told Tudum.
Season 5 Won’t Get Many New Characters
Although the Terminator star is joining the ranks, in August 2022 the Duffer brothers revealed that they were doing their best not to add new characters in the new seasonso as not to lose sight of the conclusion of the stories of the current actors.
As a reminder, the actress is best known for having played the role of Sarah Connor in the Terminator film franchise, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the original 1984 film. She reprized her role in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) and did the voiceover in Terminator Salvation (2009). She then returned as Connor in Terminator: Dark Fate.
His acting legacy will obviously be welcome in the fight against the end of the world, provided of course that Hamilton plays a nice character. However, it’s also not impossible for her to play a new villain who would come to side with Vecna in the final battle.
It’s not yet known when Stranger Things 5 will debut on Netflix, given that production has been pushed back due to the current writers’ strike.
