An employee who worked for a company in the Neusiedl am See district did not receive a salary from his employer for six months. Not only that, the man was then also terminated without notice. The employer simply ignored compliance with the statutory notice period. When the employee sought help from the Chamber of Labor, the employer went one better: He claimed that the employee had caused damage amounting to more than 100,000 euros. That’s why he wasn’t willing to pay the outstanding salaries.Successful in courtWith the support of AK legal protection, the employee finally went to court and sued for the payment of his wages. However, the employer, whose company restores old vehicles, was unable to prove at the hearing that the employee had caused the damage he claimed. The verdict was therefore in favor of the employee, who was able to look forward to the payment of the outstanding salaries. In total, the Chamber of Labor was able to obtain 12,215 euros for the man.
