The Cherokee people call on Puy du Fou to tell their story

After the opening of a site in Spain, the Vendée park, which celebrates its 45th anniversary this year, will present in Tennessee an immersive performance on the journey of a Cherokee man.

Puy du Fou will put on a show in Tennessee. The Vendée amusement park will create a great show in the United States, inspired by the history of the Cherokee people. Before Shanghai and after the Netherlands, where it already occurs, Puy du Fou will mobilize hundreds of people on this new project. “From 2024, this show will feature the 117 Cherokees who volunteered during the First World War, says Nicolas de Villiers, president of Puy du Fou . They fought in French trenches alongside American soldiers. Upon their return, they received American citizenship.»

Discussions began over a year ago. In August 2021, Richard Sneed, the chief of the Eastern Cherokee nation, came to France to discover the universe of Puy du Fou. “ We have just signed with their tribal council, which has decided to invest several tens of millions of dollars in this project.“says Nicolas de Villiers.

In full growth, Puy du Fou wants to become a global brand. In Spain, a Puy du Fou España park opened in Toledo in 2021, after two years of a first night show. Two other parks should see the light of day abroad by 2030. Before that, the company will launch the largest diversification in its history this summer:The Grand Tour, the longest show ever imagined on board a Belle Époque train. In another register, it announces the release of a first film at the cinema, in 2023. Get ready toWin or diestarring Hugo Becker.
