Tragic fate for the little 7 year old boy. The child, found with his head half stuck in a garbage bag under a parked vehicle, suspected of having been attacked by his babysitter, a young man of 28 years old, on Friday November 3, 2023, died. The suspect went to the Choisy-le-Roi police station (Val-de-Marne) to confess the facts, shortly before the body was discovered by passers-by. On November 6, 2023, he was indicted for attempted intentional homicide of a minor under 15 years of age and placed in pre-trial detention. For his part, the little boy, found with “marks of strangulation and beating”had been placed in an artificial coma at Necker hospital in Paris. According to the newspaper The Parisian, on November 5, 2023, his vital prognosis was still in jeopardy. Saturday November 18, 2023, the little boy’s family announced the sad news. They informed our colleagues of RTL that the child, aged 7, finally died.
A shock for the family, who trusted their babysitter
The family, shocked, nevertheless had the habit of having their son looked after by the young man, who had introduced himself as the little boy’s “parental assistant” during his first interview with investigators. In comments reported by BFMTVon November 5, 2023, the family assured to entrust their child to him with complete confidence for three years. If for the moment the motive for the act remains unknown, the investigation entrusted to the Paris juvenile brigade made it possible to find out a little more about the profile of the killer. Although the young man was not known to the police, he had been accused of sexual assault of a minor in June 2022, according to the Créteil public prosecutor’s office. Facts finally closed without further action for “absence of offense”. In this case, however, the prosecution clarified that “the elements do not currently establish the commission of acts of a sexual nature”reported again BFMTV. According to the version told to investigators, the babysitter went for a walk with the child before succumb to a crisis and attack him. He finally left him for dead on the Epinette road, in Choisy-le-Roi, not far from the family home, located 3 kilometers away in Vitry-sur-Seine. A case which is reminiscent of other similar cases, including that of the discovery of another child, on October 20, 2023, also in a garbage bag. For now, the babysitter remains presumed innocent of the charges against him.
