After the triple murder of his ex-spouse and their two children aged 13 and 18 months, the father, the main suspect in the case, posted several disturbing messages on Facebook, including a video.

On Thursday May 25, in Dreux (Eure-et-Loir) the bodies of Cagla, 36, and her two children, Selina, 13, and Ata, 18 months, were found in their pavilion. The young woman received about forty stab wounds and the children ten each. The main suspect of this bloody crime is the ex-spouse of Cagla, Yuksel Kuvvet, Selina and Ata’s father. After the triple assassination, he would have fled. A few hours before the discovery of the bodies, AFP tells us (relayed by Nice-Matin) that the man wrote and posted several chilling messages on his Facebook account.

In the text of these, the man, already accused of domestic violence, declares his love for his eldest daughter, Selina, in approximate French. He also accuses his ex-spouse of having cheated on him on several occasions, explaining that the youngest of 18 months is not his baby. He accompanies this post with photos of bruises on a forearm, and indicates: I am going to end my life”. He also posts a video, where he repeats the same words in sign language (the suspect is hard of hearing). “She has already cheated on me with other men, several times and that, my daughter knew it. (…) My wife told her that if she told me everything, she would hit her.” These posts have since been deleted..

The mother of the family had already filed a complaint several times

Yuksel Kuvvet was arrested this Saturday, May 28 in Plaisir, in the Yvelines. He continues to deny the facts, repeatedly telling investigators that he is the victim of a conspiracy. Before the crime, Cagla had already lodged a complaint several times against her ex-spouse. In September 2021, Kuvvet had already been convicted of violence against his wife and daughter. He was then given a one-year prison sentence, including four months suspended probation, prohibiting him from contacting the family.

The man, however, did not comply with these conditions. On May 9, Cagla filed a complaint following the discovery of a GPS tracker under his car. A final complaint was filed on Wednesday May 24, the day before the tragedy, following the theft of jewelry and documents. The young mother suspected her ex-spouse to have kept a duplicate of the keys. Yuksel Kuvvet should have been heard in June regarding the GPS tracker. He is now indicted for “aggravated intentional homicide.”
