Update : Updated to Monday June 26, the official release date of Patch 10.1.5 is therefore set for Wednesday July 12 on the European servers.
Content of Patch 10.1.5 Temporal Fractures
This Patch 10.1.5 is even more important than the previous content addition of the genre, which was 10.0.5 (Return to the Forbidden Reaches), since here Blizzard offers us major additions with a mega-Dungeon but also a new specialization stakes.
Evocateur Augmentation, the new specialization in WoW
It’s a bit of a surprise for the chef since the new class that arrived with Dragonflight will therefore have a third specialization less than a year after its release. The news is all the more important as it partially alters the Holy Trinity Tank/Heal/DPS with a specialization that aims to increase the damage of its allies.
So, Augment is a DPS spec but raw numbers won’t be the key. The goal will be to carry out a good cycle allowing to increase the effectiveness of your teammates, in small groups as in Raids, via a series of spells aimed at improving the DPS, the Healing or the resistance of your allies.
Better still, the class has smart targeting techniques, which keeps your focus on the fight. You can therefore increase the main or secondary abilities of your allies, grant a boost in movement speed but also apply an armor gain to your Tanks.
Also, the specialization will follow the same concept as the other two options in Evoker, with charged spells and lots of mobility.
New mega-dungeon, Dawn of Infinity
It’s been a habit for several expansions now (BfA with Mechagon, SL with Tazavesh), Blizzard offers us a mega-dungeon after about 8 months of expansion release. Here, the concept is to offer 8 Bosses in an exclusively Mythical version of the dungeon.
Your mission will be to face Iridikron and the Infinite Dragonflight which seeks to attack the Bronzeflight and in particular Nozdormu.
Note that like the two previous mega-dungeons mentioned above, it is very likely that the Dawn of Infinity will be separated into two specific instances for MM+ content by Season 3 of Dragonflight.
Warlock specific content
While we mentioned the disappearance of class-specific content during our interview with Ion Hazzikostas and Josh Augustine before the release of 10.1.0, the Warlock class will benefit from quests to unlock new customization options.
Thus, the imp will be in the spotlight with new customizations while new races will be able to play the class (Night Elves, Draenei, Lightforged Draenei, Pandaren, Kultirasians, Taurens, Highmountain Taurens , Mag’har Orcs and Zandalar Trolls).
Dragon Ride Lands in Kalimdor
If it will not yet be possible to fly everywhere in Azeroth with your favorite dragon, a race event in Kalimdor (16 in total) will allow you to rediscover the continent by air.
Timelines, new repeatable content
Several types of repeatable content will be present during Patch 10.1.5 with Time Rifts and Margins of the Aeons.
The Rifts are invasions that players will have to fend off while the Aeon Margins will task Alliance and Horde members to re-establish the timelines.
A release date for Patch 10.1.5
The Patch is now slated for release on Wednesday, July 12 on European servers. Note however that it is possible that the latter will be moved at the last moment due to technical problems.
