The Crown: New teaser reveals the start date of season four

The wait for the new season "The Crown" will come to an end in autumn 2020. A first teaser now shows what fans can look forward to.

The fourth season of the Netflix series "The Crown" will start without a Corona-related postponement. A first teaser published on Thursday (August 20) reveals: The story of the British monarchy will be continued on November 15 – with Olivia Colman (46) as Queen Elizabeth II (94), Gillian Anderson (52) as Margaret Thatcher (1925 -2013) and Emma Corrin (24) as the young Diana Spencer (1961-1997), who later became Princess of Wales.

The 30-second preview of the ten new episodes suggests that the royal family is facing difficult times. "Something as important as the monarchy simply cannot fail", Colman's voice can be heard in her role as Queen. This is followed by a brief look at Anderson as Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, before the viewer is shown what everyone is waiting for: Diana Spencer.

Photographers scramble for them

Corrin is never fully seen in her role as young Diana in the clip. Sometimes you can catch a glimpse of the future wife of Prince Charles (71) here, sometimes one there. On the other hand, a loud crowd including photographers can be heard, all of them calling out Diana's name. The fourth season is about the beginning of her relationship with Prince Charles – including the wedding. At the end of the teaser, Diana can be seen in her iconic David Emmanuel wedding dress, walking slowly down a corridor.

In season four, alongside Colman, Tobias Menzies (46) as Prince Philip (99), Helena Bonham Carter (54) as Princess Margaret (1930-2002), Erin Doherty (28) as Princess Anne (70 ) and Josh O'Connor (30) as Prince Charles.
