The Crown on Netflix: the moving trailer for the final season focused on the last days of Lady Diana

Check out the trailer for the sixth and final season of the final season of The Crown!

The countdown to the final season of The Crown has begun. The Netflix series which traces the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II will end as planned at the end of its sixth season (an end from season 5 had been considered, before the idea was finally abandoned).

With one season dedicated to each decade of his reign, the series allowed several performers to portray the main members of the British royal family at different periods of their lives. The monarch was thus played by Claire Foy (seasons 1 and 2), Olivia Colman (seasons 3 and 4) then Imelda Staunton (seasons 5 and 6).

Season 5 was marked by a major turning point, since the Queen was removed from the plot in favor of Princess Diana. Introduced in season 4 in the guise of actress Emma Corrin, Lady Di is now played by Elizabeth Debicki. Her ex-husband and future King Charles III is played by Dominic West.

Season 6 will notably address the terrible accident which cost the life of the People’s Princess on August 31, 1997 in Paris. Furthermore, it was planned to separate the broadcast of this final season into two parts: part 1 can be seen from November 16, the second on December 14.

The first five seasons of The Crown are available to watch now exclusively on Netflix.
