The crypto service provider is getting a new CEO

The successful crypto service provider Bitcoin Suisse is getting a new manager. A trend is emerging in the sector: People are putting their trust in “old brooms”.

Bitcoin Suisse has developed from a startup into a leading crypto service provider.

Dirk Klee becomes the new managing director of the crypto broker Bitcoin Suisse. He will take over this position from Arthur Vayloyan at the beginning of April. Both learned their trade at traditional banks. Klee was Head of Asset Management at Barclays UK and previously worked for Pimco and Blackrock. Vayloyan also came to the Crypto Valley from the “old” world. He previously worked at Falcon Bank, an asset manager and Credit Suisse.

Vayloyan’s contribution to the crypto company is impressive. Bitcoin Suisse writes: Under his leadership, Bitcoin Suisse developed from a 20-person startup to a leading crypto financial service provider with 300 employees. Under his leadership, the company’s valuation has multiplied from CHF 30 million to several hundred million.

The crypto competition also relies on proven bank managers. The Seba Bank is headed by Guido Bühler. Before founding Seba, Bühler was active in various areas of the financial industry for over 30 years – for a long time for UBS. The former CEO of this major bank, Peter Wuffli, is meanwhile on the board of the competitor Sygnum Bank. There are still numerous ex-bankers at the various management levels of the crypto service providers.

Even if these managers have shown in the past – and also at the top of the crypto service providers – that they understand their trade and have expanded the volume of business, for outsiders the “optimism in a new financial world” looks different. It feels like calling Renault CEO Luca de Meo to head Tesla.
