Dangerous braking maneuvers and blockades on motorways made headlines, especially in North Rhine-Westphalia. This year – and of course that has to do with the restrictions due to the corona pandemic – the North Rhine-Westphalian police had to move far less often because of wedding parades that got out of hand. It was in the Corona year 2020 113 missions by December 6th, announced the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of the Interior. Since the beginning of November there has only been a single assignment for a wedding. In the previous year there were 459 missions in connection with wedding parades. On April 1, 2019, counting and statistical recording of the phenomenon began.
