Media: Tottenham accept mega offer from FC Bayern for Kane

According to media reports, FC Bayern made the breakthrough in the Harry Kane transfer poker game. The Munich are therefore ready to pay a record fee of over 100 million euros for the 30-year-old striker. The English international only has to say yes.

According to media reports, FC Bayern has agreed with Tottenham Hotspur to transfer star striker Harry Kane. The decision to switch to the Bundesliga club is now up to the 30-year-old Englishman, the portal “The Athletic” reported, citing sources in Germany. Accordingly, the London club accepted an offer from Munich of the equivalent of more than 100 million euros in the morning. England’s team captain would be the most expensive purchase in the 60-year history of the Bundesliga.

With a commitment, Bayern would close the largest construction site of their squad. Kane would be the most expensive entry in the Munich club’s history and would rise to become the top earner in the foreseeable future. He had recently pushed for a decision before the start of the Premier League league this weekend. Kane still has a contract in Tottenham until the summer of 2024. Spurs, especially club owner Joe Lewis, were not ready to lose their striker on a free transfer. Lewis had therefore called for an immediate sale of Kane if he refused to sign a new working paper in London.

The attacker had consistently delivered in the Premier League for years. In the last season alone he scored 30 goals in 38 league games, only Erling Haaland (36 goals) from champions Manchester City was better. However, Kane plays for Tottenham and thus in a much weaker team. With a total of 213 goals, he is only behind Alan Shearer (260) in the all-time list of the top Premier League goalscorers. The record scorer also scores reliably in the national team. And it is precisely this reliability that has made him interesting for Bayern, among other things.

Kane would be Bayern’s fourth signing this season. The record champions had previously signed Raphael Guerreiro (Borussia Dortmund), Konrad Laimer (RB Leipzig/both free transfers) and Min-Jae Kim (SSC Napoli/50 million). Kyle Walker from Manchester City canceled Bayern, coach Thomas Tuchel would like a defensive six.
