The Division Heartland: a closed beta approaching and an enriching video on the gameplay of free-to-play PvPvE

Announced in 2021, the future free-to-play PvPvE Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland secretly connects the test phases, without materializing. We had certainly seen gameplay during the last Ubisoft Forward a few months ago, but we don’t officially know much about the modes or dynamics of the project.

The transition from The Division Heartland in the live of Division Day yesterday has finally moved things forward. Ubisoft there was indeed first revealed a new cinematic, the first for the game. She is told by Mackenzie Reedan officer of the Division who left Boston for Silver Creek in order to find Killian Towerhis former commander who killed all the rest of his team without explanation and seems to be planning a mysterious offensive.

He then broadcast a demonstration of gameplay commented for more than 6 minutes, telling us that the main mode will be based on full day explorations : the concept has obviously changed since the first phases of the alpha. During the day the focus will be on finding and completing objectives, but as night falls the difficulty increases, with even more NPCs renegades and hostile opposing players who want to take all your winnings.

Each successful operation grants access to more missions and unlock unique abilities, core base features, and map areas, Silver Creek being a real open-world whose borders rise over the parts. But if you die in the field, you will lose all your resources and your arsenal. The notion of risk will therefore be very important, while you can also explore contaminated areas with short-lived filters to try to obtain loot rare: if you fall ill, however, you will quickly have to return to the base to treat yourself. Our HQ will be A roller skating disused, transformed into shared space where you can interact with players and NPCs, customize our arsenal, improve our skills and more.

save deep america
What’s going on in Silver Creek? Discover the truth before a new kind of poison spreads across the land. Follow a gripping storyline to find out why this once peaceful town has become the scene of a bloody conflict between a dangerous group of rogue Division agents and a violent band of nomadic survivors. Be careful, because AI factions and player squads aren’t the only dangers…

Explore by day. Survive the night.
In a single play session, experience both the challenge of exploration by day and the thrill of action by night. During the day, explore and complete essential objectives, search for materials and supplies, and face fearsome enemies. As day turns to night, the stakes rise and new enemies appear. Avoid increasingly unstable contamination, fight renegade NPCs, and face hostile PCs.

Flee or die
Risk your arsenal and supplies every time you venture into Silver Creek. Stay on the move to escape enemy conflict, dehydration, and deadly contamination invading the city. Accomplish various objectives while expanding your arsenal at the base of operations. Each successful operation allows you to take on new missions and unlock unique abilities, new areas on the map, and essential features in your base. If you die before the extraction… you’ll come home empty-handed.

Form a squad in cross-play and cross-platform progression
Venture into Silver Creek alone or with your squad and create powerful team tactics through cross-play and cross-platform progression. Customize your agents’ skills, outfits and bag. Unlock story elements and level up with plenty of upgrade opportunities. Over time, Heartland will expand to introduce new features, new agents, new stories, new challenges, and new areas of the map to explore.

Survive dynamic contamination
Here, the virus moves differently, unpredictably, as if driven by its own will. Although contamination is extremely dangerous, you can use it to your advantage. Venture briefly into the noxious cloud in an attempt to grab equipment and valuable items left behind by other players. Make sure you have enough filters to survive. If the viral load makes you sick, get back to base before it kills you.

The program is attractive, but is not quite ready to see the light of day yet. Ubisoft soon plans to organize a closed beta on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S: you can register for it through the official website. Until then, The Division 2 is available from €12.90 on Amazon.co.uk.
