The dynamic Paris Stock Exchange to start the week

The Paris Stock Exchange rose sharply by 0.92% on Monday in the first exchanges, finishing to digest the speeches of the central bankers in Jackson Hole and a measure of support from the Chinese authorities for their Stock Exchanges.

The star CAC 40 index rose by 66.31 points to hover around 7,295.91 points around 9:25 a.m. On Friday, he had concluded on a gain of 0.21%, to bring his increase over the week to 0.91%.

The Parisian market had ended the week at the start of the important speeches of the central bankers, listening only to Jerome Powell, the president of the American Central Bank, a few minutes before the closing.

The speeches then followed on Friday and Saturday.

Overall, few revelations this year from central bankers estimate analysts at Natixis Research.

The character data dependent monetary policy, that is to say the fact that central bankers leave themselves a lot of leeway in their communication to adapt their policies to the latest economic trends, would not accommodate major announcements. Caution therefore remains in order and the determination is therefore intact according to them.

The President of the European Central Bank Christine Lagarde, however, gave no indication for the meeting of September 14 of the institution, leaving the possibility open to maintaining key rates given the weakness of the European economy.

For Banque Postale AM, this contrasts with the conference last year, during which all the central bankers had warned that they were going to raise their rates sharply to fight inflation.

On the bond market, the interest rate on the 10-year French government loan rose slightly to stand at around 3.09%.

The Paris market is also driven by favorable winds from Asia, where the main indices are progressing after the authorities’ support measures for the financial markets, taking the form of the first reduction in stamp duties on financial transactions since 2008.
