Franchise The Elder Scrolls was born in 1994 with TES: Arena, she is currently celebrating her thirtieth birthday. Quite a longevity, but the latest opus is TES V: Skyrim, which already dates from 2011. A new episode was made official in 2018, but the developers are taking their time.
If Bethesda remains discreet regarding The Elder Scrolls VIfocused until last year on Starfieldthe studio publishes a long message for the 30th anniversary of the franchise, briefly mentioning the next opus:
(…) yes, we are developing the next chapter – The Elder Scrolls VI. Even now, returning to Tamriel and playing early versions fills us with the same joy, excitement, and promise of adventure.
The Elder Scrolls VI is therefore playable internallydevelopment seems to be going well, but we have to settle for this short statement for the moment. TES 6 does not have a release date and we do not yet know which region of Tamriel we can explore, you will have to wait to find out all this. However, it will be exclusive to Xbox and PC, with a launch not before 2026.
