The Europe 1 family is growing, our antenna continues to grow


With 2,387,000 million listeners, Europe 1 is progressing for the 3rd consecutive wave. The station thus attracts, in 1 year, 223,000 new people, the best progression of the general stations. Thanks to a coherent project and a solid program schedule, the station is increasingly retaining its audience with a listening time increasing by 12 minutes, bringing it to 104 minutes. Its weight in listening to radio media is also increasing sharply (+22% in one year; 3.9% PdA).

Information and entertainment, keys to this new success

These results mark a new turning point for the station which sees all of its broadcasts progress until the early evening. Dimitri Pavlenko, Sonia Mabrouk, Pascal Praud, Laurence Ferrari but also the duo Alexandre Le Mer/ Ombline Roche, Céline Géraud, Hélène Zélany and Pierre de Vilno, through their treatment of current events, inform more and more French people every day :

  • Europe 1 Matin (7 a.m.-9 a.m.), led by Dimitri Pavlenko with Anissa Haddadi, is listened to by 1,212,000 people, and is progressing on all indicators. The station gains 90,000 listeners in one year in cumulative audience (AC) in this segment.
    Since the arrival of Dimitri Pavlenko in 2021, the show has not seen such an audience share (4.9%; +0.6pt in one year, the best growth on the market). A morning show which retains its main events including: “La Grande interview” by Sonia Mabrouk, the editorials of Vincent Hervouët, Alexis Brézet and Vincent Trémolet de Villers but also “Les signatures” with Gaspard Proust, Philippe Val and Catherine Nay without forget the essential “Prescriptions culture” with Nicolas Carreau in the lead. A morning show which has notably hosted, since the start of the school year, “The press review” played by Olivier de Lagarde;
  • In just three months, L’Heure des Pros, in co-broadcast with CNews, has increased the half-hour by +32% in AC and +35% in PdA. Record levels for almost 2 years;
  • With 715,000 listeners for the show Pascal Praud et vous, Pascal Praud always welcomes more pairs of ears (+165,000 in one year or +30% audience). The journalist and presenter continues his back-to-school momentum with the best growth in the market over a year in audience share (+1.4pt);
  • Céline Géraud at the helm of Europe 1 1 p.m., Laurence Ferrari with Punchline! and Pierre de Vilno for Europe 1 Soir follow this trend and reach their best audience level for more than 2 years.

Mid-mornings and afternoons on Europe 1 also confirm listeners’ attraction to entertainment programs

  • Culture Médias presented by Thomas Isle achieves, with its +139,000 additional listeners in one year, the best growth on the market (+29%) between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. The show has posted its best results for almost 4 years with 624,000 daily listeners;
  • Christophe Hondelatte, with Hondelatte Raconte, has recorded a new record for 3 years, bringing together 342,000 listeners every day; There are therefore 110,000 new followers (in one year) who are now listening to this outstanding storyteller (best growth on the market).
  • Stéphane Bern, who brings a dose of History to listeners every day, continues the installation of Historically Vôtre in his new time slot (3 p.m.-4 p.m.); It brings together 287,000 daily listeners, a record for more than 6 years (+98,000 in one year);
  • Sophie Davant at the helm, since the start of the season, of the Sophie & les Copains meeting, has never brought together so many listeners: 349,000 (+63,000);

The growth of Europe 1 also continues on digital

With 200 million views over the period January-March 2024, Europe 1 is increasing its visibility (+55% in one year) on its social channels (YouTube, Dailymotion, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat); It maintains its status as the number one generalist station on YouTube.

The station, which joined the ACPM ranking at the start of the season, also has nearly 34 million streaming listening sessions in the first quarter of 2024.

With 42 million podcasts listened to over this same period, Europe 1 remains a key player in the podcast market and production; From Hondelatte Raconte, with 22.7 million listens, including native speakers (The extraordinary stories of Pierre Bellemare: 1.2 million over the period and more than 3 million since its launch in mid-November or even Le Terroriste: 500,000 listening).
