The 84 candidates paraded and unfortunately, Diane Leyre’s performance did not convince the jury, composed in particular by Iris Mittenaere. Many Internet users were not won over by the choice of her dress. But the competition has only just begun. And in the evening of November 16 to 17, our Miss France 2022 will present her national costume.
And we finally know which French symbol Diane Leyre chose. The Red Mill ! But contrary to what we might think, his costume will not be red, but pink! “I didn’t want red but a color that resembles me: pink! The Moulin Rouge transformed a costume that they already had (…) It’s a slightly bare pink two-piece with feathers on bows in the back. Miss Universe: Diane Leyre’s national costume prize revealed
This costume comes directly from the Moulin Rouge workshops. As a reminder, the Moulin Rouge has three Houses of Arts to make his costumes. Maison Clairvoy, bootmaker since 1945, Maison Février, feather maker since 1929, and Atelier Valentin, embroiderer since 2003. Enough to make costumes worthy of the name. Diane Leyre’s costume for Miss Universe was therefore made just for her. A suit that costs no less than 25,500 euros!
“This exceptional creation, adorned with 77 meters of marabou feathers, is inspired by the finale of Féerie, the Moulin Rouge show. Demanding 280 hours of work meticulous and worth €25,500, this costume demonstrates all the talent of the artisans of the Moulin Rouge”, indicates the Moulin Rouge in a press release. As a reminder, Iris Mittenaere wore a Moulin Rouge costume during the Miss Universe 2016 edition which she won. Diane Leyre hopes to perpetuate the tradition with this choice of costume.
