The Exorcist the sequel: this star with 270 million fans scared the most anticipated horror film of this fall

We’ve found the weak point of Pazuzu, the Exorcist’s demon! The announcement of the release of the film “Eras Tour” by Taylor Swift prompted Universal to shift the horror feature film “The Exorcist – Devotion” to the United States.

Would Taylor Swift scare The Exorcist? In the United States, the horror film is brought forward by a week so as not to compete with the retransmission in theaters of the American singer’s concert.

Universal has indeed made the decision to shift the sequel to the cult horror film from October 13 to October 6, just hours after Taylor Swift announced that the film on her Eras tour would be released in theaters on October 13.

Yet the studio did not hesitate to release Oppenheimer against Barbie distributed by Warner Bros. An “Erasorsiste” after “Barbenheimer” probably did not interest Universal.

“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful and electric experience of my life so far and I’m thrilled to announce that it will be hitting the big screen soon. Starting October 13, you can see the movie of the concert in theaters across North America! Tickets are on sale now. Tour outfits, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing are encouraged! 1, 2, 3 LGB!!!!”

A wise decision since this Thursday, August 31 afternoon, the AMC cinemas in New York and Los Angeles showed a large number of reservations for the retransmission of the Taylor Swift concert for the weekend of October 13 to 15. The American fans of the singer with 271 million subscribers on Instagram who have not been able to buy tickets for the tour will therefore be able to catch up. It is not yet known if the film will be released in France.

After the tour, the singer should go into the cinema since she has already written the screenplay for a film which she must also direct.

The Exorcist – Devotion is, to date, still scheduled in French theaters for October 11th. In the feature film set decades after William Friedkin’s film, a widowed father (Leslie Odom Jr.) goes to Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn) for help after his 12-year-old daughter and her friend return transformed from a walk in the woods.
