This question is on the minds of many people after a set of seats suddenly came loose in the Penken ski area in Schwendau on Friday, crashing into the fortunately empty one behind it and a mother (38) and her eleven-year-old son falling eight meters into the depths. The woman was seriously injured in the back, the child who ultimately made the emergency call escaped with minor injuries. Experts on site The investigation began immediately after the rescue. And on Saturday an expert looked at the lift again. According to the investigators’ initial findings, a ring that secures the sliding bushing in the clamping component may have come loose from its position. However, it was not possible to clearly determine how this could happen. The rope is scheduled to be repaired on Monday. The lift is currently closed.
