the fans’ dream definitively destroyed

Clearly, it’s a bit of a hotbed for leaks and rumors regarding Bloodborne, and we are still entitled to new information which will not fail to delight fans.

This month of February 2024 is definitely very intense for Bloodborne fans. A few days ago, the editor-in-chief of the Game Informer media revealed that a PS5 and PC version of the From Software title had been in development at one point. It was advised not to expect anything since there had been no news for years. Well, a few days later, another source brings new information.

Bloodborne on PS5, is it completely dead?

This time, the information comes from a user named Head on the Block on ResetEra, also previously known as I’m a Hero Too. He gained some notoriety for accurately disclosing information on internal developments at Atlus, particularly on the Persona games. This person notably predicted the development of Persona 3 Reload last year.

The user explains that the Bloodborne game will not be released on PS5, although it was indeed planned at one point. The title would also not be planned for a PC port, for multiple reasons that he does not explain in detail. Obviously, it was the Bluepoint studio which was in charge of the project, notably known for the remake of Shadow of the Colossus.

A note of hope!

However, Head on the Block provides another rather intriguing detail: according to him, the game would now be planned for… PS6. Obviously, it’s best to take all this information with a grain of salt, especially since in the meantime, the user appears to have been banned from ResetEra. What is certain in any case is that there seems to have been something planned at some point regarding a port of Bloodborne.

Last August, during a stream, David Jaffe, famous for being the creator of God of War and Twisted Metal, sparked excitement by revealing the existence of a project aimed at bringing Bloodborne up to date. This announcement logically caused a sensation at the time, leading Jaffe to clarify his statements.

I don’t have any insider information. We’ve been hearing about the remaster or remake of Bloodborne for a long time. All I said was that I know a journalist who told me it was going to happen, that it was true and that it would have to be revealed sooner or later, and that was that. But I ? I have no fucking idea
