Princess Eugenie has just shown herself in a green and blue checked coat by Sandro Paris. She wears it with a midi dress and Isabel Marant boots with conical heels. A classic look that makes a lot of impression because of that. The coat looks cool because Eugenie stays in the same family in terms of color and combines it with simple pieces that don’t steal the show.
But Eugenie is not the only one who relies on the trendy coat. Duchess Meghan has also worn a similar coat from Burberry to public appointments. However, it combines it in a completely different way – in the business look. Meghan wears black Marlene pants and pumps. Your bag is color-coordinated with the tones of the coat. Your outfit looks less good, but more casual and still chic.

Kate already knew in 2012 that the checked coat would never seem to go out of style. She wears a very feminine, tightly cut variant when visiting her former school. Due to the figure-hugging cut, the coat almost looks like a dress for her. She also combines black boots that make the look even more elegant. It also combines a matching bag in green. Seems like this is a royals styling secret ?!

If you want to wear the checked coat less business-like and elegant than the royals, simply combine it with light-colored jeans. A leather skirt or leather pants also look super stylish. Just stay muted with the colors, so give your coat time to shine.
