The Finals arrives in final version

In fact, our spiritual guide Jarod had already smelled it last November, when publisher Nexon confirmed that The Finals would be released in version 1.0 before the end of the year. A new ultra-caffeinated trailer of which Embark has the secret reveals the content of the first season, mainly the map of Las Vegas. What could be more logical for an FPS where the main goal is to collect boxes full of pesos? The city of vice will have two variants: a sandy version caught in a terrible storm, and a version full of traps and turrets to defend the casinos’ loot. THE patch notes also mention a global rebalancing and some improvements to movement (already very dynamic).

Guaranteed success?

Previous betas of The Finals had proven extremely popular on Steam, with a peak of 235,000 players last October forcing Nexon to bloat the servers to support the influx of curious people. The Finals stands out for its garish and overexcited aesthetic, but also for the know-how of Embark, made up of former Battlefield developers. Hence the particular emphasis on environmental destruction. All elements can be manipulated or reduced to dust, to set traps, tumble upon an unwary enemy or open new paths if necessary. The technology turns out to be quite impressive.

The Finals is already available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
