Only 9 days left before the official presentation of the iPhone 15 by Apple. Once is not custom, this is not the smartphone spec sheets that interests us here, but the protective shells which will be offered with. A few days ago, we learned that the manufacturer would abandon leather cases in favor of a different material. For the moment, there is no precision on the material used. A new leak, however, reveals what could be the name of the range of cases: FineWoven. The literal translation would give “thin weave”.

The iPhone 15 should therefore receive “eco-fiber” cases whose borders would be reinforced with silicone “a little darker” than the shell. All available colors have been revealed. Instead of the expected 5, they will be 10 if the rumor is confirmed: black, blackberry, taupe, evergreen (literally “evergreen”), Pacific blue, wisteria, antique white, butter yellow, orange and pink.

The “FineWoven” leatherette cases of the iPhone 15 would be available in 10 colors

The choice will obviously be there to dress up your iPhone 15 as you wish, especially since you can add the matching USB-C cables. Kosutamiat the origin of the leak, specifies that Apple would also plan to release a new strap for the Apple Watch in the same material as the new hulls. It would include a magnetic attachment system and would be put up for sale at $99.

Assuming that the apple brand stops the production of leather protective case, we do not yet know what motivated such a choice. The argument put forward will surely be the concern to propose a more environmentally friendly product. But we can also imagine that it is a question of lowering the shell production costs. The truth will probably lie between the two. Just have to wait until September 12 to get the answer.
