The First Descendant: a beta test and release window for the futuristic TPS

The First Descendant will be a free-to-play looter shooter. There, it is said. To face your nemeses, sinister aliens known as Vulgus, the heroes will be armed to the teeth, and encased in armor with looks lost in an improbable whirlwind of inspirations between Vanquish, Gears of War and the Power Rangers. Scheduled to be open to the public from August 22 to 28, 2023, the next beta-test phase will provide access to two new heroes, and sow the balls like we sow wheat in the spring.

Go Go Power Rangeeeeeers

The previous beta-test phase dates from 2022. NAT Games therefore had all the generosity to refine its formula. With two newcomers to the rosterthe number of characters is now increased to 13. Like any good self-respecting co-op TPS, The First Descendant will offer synergy mechanics between heroes, and should require tweaking at least his combat strategies on pain of being served as a carpaccio to the aliens on duty. Note that the title runs on Unreal Engine 5, and we must admit that the latest trailer is rather pleasing to the eye (even if the artistic choices seem “questionable”)

Players can now visit the Nexon site to register for the beta. The First Descendant should be firing on all cylinders in the last quarter of 2023 on Xbox One and Series, PlayStation 4 and 5, and PC via Steam.
