On the occasion of Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live, Nexon shares a brand new trailer for its action game The First Descendant. An opportunity to reveal a little more of the title’s universe while recalling the upcoming opening of a crossplay beta phase. The latter will allow registered players to try out the game from September 19 to 25 and will be available on PC via Steam as well as on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
The trailer gives us a small glimpse of the great battle between the Legatees and the enemy alien race, the Vulgus. We learn in particular that the Legatees follow the will of the elders by risking their lives for Albion. And that many have already shed their blood to protect the future of humanity. A sacrifice that does not prevent humanity from being on the verge of extinction. But a mysterious artifact, the Ironheart, could well change the fate of all of humanity.
Equipped with armor with unique abilities, each character will benefit from a small arsenal of weapons with various and varied effects. So in addition to simply shooting your enemies, it will be possible to throw what seems to be energy balls at them or even opt for fire and burn them to the last. Bosses with titanic dimensions seem to promise explosive fights where you will have to master all your abilities to overcome them.
