Amazon Prime’s Fallout series has released its very first trailer. It promises an adaptation that is ultra faithful to the Bethesda license, down to the smallest details. It will be included in the canon of the saga, and will therefore take place in the same universe as that of the video games.
Video game adaptations are all the rage and the next license to be put through the mill is called Fallout. Amazon Prime Video takes care of this. The very first trailer for the series has been released and promises a lot.
It was during the Comic Con in Sao Paulo (Brazil) that this trailer was released. The first thing we notice, This is because the series promises to be ultra faithful! We find the universe of the license there, whether in the settings, the humor, but especially in the costumes. It looks like it!
The Fallout series will be very faithful to the games
Series wants to model itself on the games even in its scenario. We will follow the adventures of Lucy (Ella Purnell), survivor of an anti-nuclear shelter near Los Angeles who sets out to explore the world 200 years after the apocalypse. She will soon realize that the wastelands are not as empty as they seem, and that different factions are fighting for control of what remains of California. In short, the starting pitch for almost all parts of the saga. The particularity of the Fallout universe, is that the world is stuck in the 1950s. This gives us that post-apo post-war look that is so recognizable at first glance.

Note that Todd Howard, the head of licensing at Bethesda, supervised the creation of the series and even confirmed that it took place in the same universe as the video games. Fallout is headed by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, the duo already behind the Westworld series. Nolan even directed the first three episodes. The series will land on Amazon Prime on April 12. There is no doubt that all the fans will be there.
Remember that Fallout is not the only series based on a video game in development at Amazon, since the God of War license will also have the right to its adaptation. The latter is still in pre-production.
