This year on Fortnitealthough there is no World Cup, we will still find FNCS sessions organized. For this Chapter 3 – Season 1 FNCS, that’s a total of $3,008,500 cash prize that we find, divided between the different regions. This new session of the FNCS will begin on February 17 and will experience some slight changes in its format.
FNCS Chapter 3 – Season 1 Schedule:
- Qualifications: February 17-18 and February 19-20
- Semi final: February 24-27
- Final: March 5-6
As for the formats of the different phases of these FNCS Chapter 3 – Season 1, there are small changes compared to last year:
QUALIFICATIONS (17-18 FEBRUARY AND 19-20 FEBRUARY)
We keep the same number of qualifiers as last year, but the format will be played in duos this year. We have increased the number of teams that can qualify directly for the final. The top eight teams from each qualifier will immediately advance to the FNCS Finals.
SEMI-FINAL (24-27 FEBRUARY)
The semi-final will also be a little different this season. Getting a Victory Royale in any game in a Single Lobby Tournament is a highlight in Fortnite. We want the action to focus more around getting a Victory Royale, as well as performance consistency. For any session, you can either win a game or place yourself among the six most consistent teams during that session to participate in the final.
Only the top 50 teams in the Series Points standings will be able to participate in Session 1 of each region. Session 1 will be divided into 5 games and 11 teams from this session will be able to participate in the final (5 Victor Royale holders and the 6 most regular teams).
In Session 2, teams placed 51-61 in the Series Points standings will fill the 11 slots left empty by the winners of the previous session. This new 50-team show will see teams compete in 5 games for 11 teams to earn a spot in the final (5 Victory Royale holders and the 6 most consistent teams).
In Session 3, teams placed 62-72 in the Series Points standings will fill the 11 slots left empty by the winners of the previous session. This new 50-team show will see teams compete in 6 games for 12 teams to earn a place in the final. (6 Victory Royale winners and the 6 most consistent teams). Here’s a recap of how qualifying for the finals works for each session:
Session 1: 5 parts; 2h30; 1st – 50th in series points standings
Session 2: 5 parts; 2h30; 1st – 61st in series points standings
Session 3: 6 parts; 3:00 a.m.; 1st – 72nd in series points standings
FINAL (MARCH 5-6)
The FNCS Finals will have a similar format to previous seasons with one new addition: the Showdown. A team can end the competition with a total of 500 points and 3 Victory Royales. Once a team has reached both of these milestones, they will be declared the FNCS Champion. If no team fulfills these two criteria at the end of the 12 games, the final will take place exactly as in previous seasons. The decisive stage is very hard to reach and, for this first time, it is reserved only for a performance which dominates all the competition.
As for the cashprize of this competition, as previously indicated, it is $3,008,500, divided between the different regions:

What’s more, an FNCS Community Cup will also take place this February 28. This tournament will see duos compete during 10 games over 3 hours in order to earn as many points as possible. The best teams from each region will be able to win the FNCS Champion outfit from Chapter 3 – Season 1 as well as the Victor’s Mark back bling.
