“Do we realize what we have just achieved? Not yet, we are still in the fever of victory and we do not yet realize that the Olympics are here,” continued the coach French in a reaction communicated by the French Handisport Federation. Four tickets to Paris were up for grabs in this final Paralympic qualifying tournament, during which the Blues won the four matches they played.

“No one expected us at this level, no one expected us to have four victories, to finish first in our group. I think we surprised everyone and we are super proud,” reacted Sofyane Mehiaoui (8 points, 5 assists) in a press release from the Paris-2024 organization sent to AFP.
