BERLIN (Reuters) – G7 finance ministers will try to agree to provide nearly 30 billion euros in financial aid to Ukraine when they meet in Germany next week, according to Der Spiegel.

The aid, which is expected to cover the country’s financial needs until the end of the year, would be provided in the form of loans and grants, meaning that Kyiv would not have to repay the full amount, said reported Der Spiegel on Friday, citing sources involved in the negotiations.

However, the project still arouses opposition, according to the magazine, which adds that a European country has not yet agreed to participate.
